Dysport was approved by FDA in May. It proved to be save and effective in a study of over 2,900 patients in 80 clinical study sites through out the country. Dysport has been used since 1991 safely and effectively across Europe and in the UK.

Dysport in clinical studies is said to behave much like botox, though recent reports indicate it
  • May work faster
  • Last longer
  • Potentially has more ‘spread’

Botulinum Toxin type A was discovered in 1895 and isolated in purified form in the 1920s. Botulinum toxin type A has been used in medicine for several decades. Initially used in surgical specialities, lower doses of Botox have been used in cosmetic industry to treat moderate to severe frown lines since before FDA approval in 2002. When injected in very low doses into the overactive muscles it blocks the transmission of a chemical that triggers muscle contractions. Over time, the activity of the connection between muscles returns to full activity. For cosmetic use we recommend injections every 3-4 months depending on individual preference.

Tired of excessive sweating?

Injections of Botox into any area of hyperhydrosis (i.e. excessive sweating) renders the glands nonfunctional and the effect may last up to ONE YEAR!!! Please reserve at least one hour for the procedure as a sweat test is performed before each procedure.

Botox is contraindicated in patients with neurological disorders such as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Myasthenia Gravis or Eaton-Lambert syndrome, in patients with allergic reaction to any part of the formula and in patients with active infection at the injection site. Coadministration with aminoglycosides or other agents that can interfere with neuromuscular transmission should be performed with caution. It is not advisable to administer Botox to pregnant women.

  • Xeomin® is a prescription medication used in facial aesthetics to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar frown lines between the eyes (glabellar lines) in adults.
  • Xeomin® contains botulinum toxin type A, a protein purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.
  • Xeomin® is also sometimes referred to as incobotulinumtoxinA.
  • Xeomin® in Aesthetics: How Does it Work?
When you squint or frown, the muscles between your brows contract, causing the skin to furrow and fold. These lines that occur due to facial mimics are referred to as dynamic lines. Over time, as your skin ages and loses some of its elasticity, these repeated contractions can cause persistent frown lines.

Botulinum toxin type A is the active ingredient in Xeomin® and is used in facial aesthetic treatment to treat dynamic lines like glabellar frown lines. It acts on nerve endings in muscles to prevent muscle fibers from contracting. By reducing these contractions, Xeomin® can temporarily reduce the frown lines on your forehead between your eyes.

PDO Thread Lift

What is a PDO Thread Lift?

A PDO thread lift is a simple, minimally invasive procedure that uses absorbable sutures to tighten and lift sagging skin while encouraging new collagen production.

PDO thread lifts also present patients with a lower risk of developing scarring, bruising, or bleeding complications as compared to facelift surgery. Recovery is minimal and patients can get back to their daily activities quickly. This makes thread lifts ideal for patients who are looking for a non-surgical anti-aging option.

The PDO Thread Lift Procedure

Before the procedure, our staff usually advises patients to avoid alcohol, tobacco, or other substances that may trigger severe bruising or bleeding during the procedure. This should be started at least a week or two prior to the procedure.

On the day of the treatment, our experts walk the patient through the treatment process, the possible complications that could arise during the procedure, and recommendations for aftercare during recovery.

The thread lift provider will begin by disinfecting the patient’s face with an alcoholic detergent, followed by an injection of a local anesthetic under the patient’s skin to numb the area. They will then proceed to make a small incision with a different needle before inserting an instrument known as a cannula into the small incision on the face. A cannula is a blunt tip needle that is used to insert the PDO thread.

Once the thread is firmly secured inside the appropriate skin layer, the cannula is then pulled out to lift the skin upwards. The procedure is then finalized by cutting the excess thread while ensuring it remains intact under the skin layer. Multiple threads may be placed during the procedure.

Patients can head home shortly after the procedure is complete. They are given aftercare and follow-up instructions to help ensure good results.
