Radiofrequency skin rejuvenation devices are mostly used to treat loss of elasticity in the skin. These treatments are great for patients who are in their mid-30s to 50s with mild to moderate laxity in the jawline, under the eyes, cheeks, mid-face, and neck. Radio-frequency treatments alone will only tighten the skin. However, we specialize in combined treatment with other modalities to customize cellulite, acne treatments, and pigmentation.

As long as you are healthy overall and have no skin diseases or infections within the treatment area, you should qualify for treatment. However, those with electrical devices, such as pacemakers, or metal implants cannot undergo this procedure due to potentially hazardous interference with the radio-frequency waves.

I have found that a single treatment is usually enough most clients need at least 3 to 6 treatments for optimal results. During your consultation, I will work with you to determine the most effective treatment plan for your needs.

Some people experience mild redness immediately following treatment, but this usually disappears quickly. Most find that they can return to work and normal activities immediately after treatment.

The most frequently reported side effects of treatment are swelling, redness, bumps, and blisters on or around the treatment areas; these typically heal within a few days to weeks. The most serious potential complication is a depression within the treatment area, which can be caused by the radio-frequency waves overheating and causing damage to the tissues beneath the skin.
